An actress who always inspires sympathy, Léa Seydoux is attractive again in this 2022 film. Sandra, a widowed translator with a young daughter, begins an affair with the married Clément (Melvil Poupaud). She also deals with her father, Georges (a wonderful Pascal Gregory), who suffers from a neurodegenerative disease that causes blindness and hallucinations and needs to be in a nursing home. Directed by Mia Hansen Love, the masterful drama follows Sandra’s shifting emotions as she comes to terms with life through lust and love, while her father’s decline brutally shows how fragile life can be.
