Mortimer and Whitehouse:
He went fishing
9pm on BBC Two
“I dreamed of you,” Paul Whitehouse told Bob Mortimer. “We were getting married and you had a thick head of hair. Which is more likely?” This buddy-buddy fishing series never fails to bring smiles. But as well as joking around as they try to catch Bob’s first salmon on the fly in the Scottish Highlands this week, the pair have a more serious moment when they talk health and Paul’s recent skin biopsy. Holly Richardson
Antiques Roadshow: Unseen Treasures
8pm, BBC One
A telegram from Ringo Starr? Queen Victoria’s umbrella? Phantom of the opera mask? These all sound interesting enough to be made into regular episodes, but instead, they’ve been saved for this outing in which presenter Fiona Bruce introduces several unseen legacies from the last series. Phil Harrison
Wool Game: Britain’s best knitters
8pm on Channel 4
Roast dinner, seafood ramen, crispy bacon… As the cute knitting competition reaches its fifth week, it looks like it’s turning into MasterChef. Don’t edit your set: Food is made of string, as host Tom Daly and judges Dee Gilpin and Sheila Greenwell search for perfection in composition. Hannah J. Davis
Prisoner 951
9pm, BBC One
This fascinating and moving drama surrounding the arrest of Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe continues. At first, there is relief, as Nazanin’s solitary confinement ends and she is transferred to a more comfortable prison. Is her ordeal nearing its end? But unfortunately not, because the reckless statements made by British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson weakened its position. pH
Daisy May and Charlie Cooper NightWatch
At 9.30pm on BBC Two
An ogre’s face on the window during a storm. Old man in a rocking chair. Steps into empty rooms. These are the things the siblings were warned about before their final sleep, in a remote area in the Scottish Highlands. It brings the two closer together – and it’s fun to watch. Human resources

10pm Sky Max
So far, there are more questions than answers in this bizarre horror drama about the dead coming back to life in rural Wisconsin. This flashback episode goes back to two years before “Renaissance Day” to fill in some context about Rep. Dana (Melanie Scrofano) and the case that tarnished her local representative. Graeme Virtue

Robbie Gellman, Teen Kraken (Kirk DeMicco, 2023), 2.05pm, BBC One
An animated family film that didn’t achieve the success it deserved upon its release in 2023, Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken is a fun take on every coming-of-age trope. Ruby is a teenage girl whose family forbids her from going near the ocean. One day, she rebels and immediately finds out why: she’s secretly a giant kraken, as is her entire family. Ultimately, the movie turns into a fairly generic action, but if you have kids who love The Little Mermaid (or even Teen Wolf), they’ll have a lot of fun watching all their expectations shattered.
