Salt road scandal

9pm, Sky Documentary
It was the literary scandal of the year: The Observer claimed that the author of the best-selling memoir The Salt Road, Raynor Wynne, had not been entirely truthful in telling the story – which was made into a film – of financial ruin, her husband, Muth’s illness, terminal illness and natural recovery. Since then, more people have come forward with their versions of events. Reporter Chloe Hadjimathew continues to gather information that has shocked and saddened the nation. Holly Richardson

Jimmy Cook-Ahed Christmas

8pm on Channel 4
Finger licking! Excellence galore! Yorkshire puddings the size of Yorkshire! It could be none other than Jamie Oliver, with part two of his Christmas meal prep guide. The “delicious turkey ever” is a highlight, along with the “perfect potatoes” that are crispy and fluffy. Hannah J. Davis

The big test: Coronation Street v Emmerdale

9pm on ITV1
Nothing signals the end of the year quite like a celebrity quiz show – and this one is for fans of the ITV soap. Jack P Shepherd heads up the Currie side, assisted by Jodie Prenger, Sam Aston and Georgia Taylor, while Lucy Pargeter, Bradley Riches, Sheps Mia and captain Mark Charnock step in to bat for Emmerdale. Bump: A Christmas Movie

At 11.15pm on BBC One
The Australian family drama moves to Rosa’s native Colombia, and it’s either the best or worst idea ever. Ollie and Santi are no longer teenage parents and are not upset, even though they are now carrying a two-month-old baby. But Rosa herself has some doubts, and that broken mirror does not bode well. Everything Everywhere at Once (Daniel Scheinert, Daniel Cowan, 2022), 11.10pm, movie 4
Frantic fun for (almost) the whole family, Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert’s Oscar-winning comic sci-fi adventure never lets up during its two-hour-plus runtime. Michelle Yeoh returns to her past in this Hong Kong action thriller as a struggling laundromat owner is thrown into an increasingly surreal series of alternate universes in an attempt to defeat a powerful version of her hapless daughter Joy (Stephanie Hsu). Further exposition would be pointless – just use the hot dog finger verse, the anime verse, and, most laughably, a universe where all the characters are rocks – and enjoy the rollercoaster. Live sports

Premier League: Manchester United vs Bournemouth 6.30pm, Sky Sports main event. From Old Trafford.
