The frenetic and funny holiday drama from hell starring the excellent Jessica Reign ends with another double bill. Nothing in this show is understated and the finale is no exception. “Truth – or lies?!” It’s the question that returns to Ross Kemp’s lips again and again in this repetitive but harmless daytime quiz. The best travel guides manage to pull off the odd surprise. So when Alexander Armstrong arrives in Philadelphia and immediately rushes out to buy a cheesesteak, it’s hard not to fear the worst. However, as this American epic unfolds, Armstrong remains an affable host, even if at times he doesn’t feel quite right for the material (see his journey into the opioid-related horrors of downtown Kensington).
