UFC 321: Tom Aspinall weighs in on Cyril Jean ahead of 10-second showdown

Fans cheered for Tom Aspinall as he weighed in heavier than Cyril Jean before the duo’s heavyweight title bout at UFC 321 in Abu Dhabi on Saturday.

Manchester’s Aspinall weighed 255 pounds (18 3 lbs), 7.5 pounds heavier than Frenchman Jeanne’s 247.5 pounds (17 9.5 lbs).

While the 32-year-old sang “Tommy Aspinall” chants throughout, Jane was greeted with boos as he stepped onto the scales.

The duo continued to show respect for each other during a quick 10-second encounter, as they have done all fight week, by ending the encounter with a smile at each other.

Aspinall, who was excited in front of the crowd at the Etihad Stadium, makes the first defense of his undisputed heavyweight title since being promoted from interim champion in June.

“This is going to be a very special performance guys, make sure you tune in, it’s great,” he said.

Jin was calm as usual and seemed unfazed by the booing before delivering a short message.

“Very happy to be here guys, see you on Saturday, thank you,” he said.
