✅ **What You’ll Learn**:

American bantamweight Cameron Smotherman fell to the ground during the official weigh-in for UFC 324 on Saturday in Las Vegas.

Smotherman appeared unsteady on his feet as he stepped on the scale inside T-Mobile Arena on Friday morning.

After his weight was recorded as 135.5 pounds (9.5 lb), Smotherman made his way to the side of the stage where he fainted and fell flat on his face.

UFC officials immediately rushed to the 28-year-old’s side, and he returned a few moments later. The doctor and officials attended to him before he was taken out of the theater.

Smotherman was scheduled to fight Ricky Turcios in a three-round bantamweight bout on the preliminary card but the contest has now been cancelled.

All UFC fighters must weigh in the morning before a fight and have their official weight recorded.

A ceremonial weigh-in of the entire card is then held for fans in the evening.

UFC 324 is headlined by Paddy Pimblett’s interim lightweight fight against Justin Gaethje.

The Liverpool player has contributed to the competition and is aiming to become the first fighter from his city to win a UFC belt.
