Victoria Jones, daughter of actor Tommy Lee Jones, was found dead in a San Francisco hotel.

Jones, 34, was discovered in the early hours of New Year’s Day, according to TMZ, which cited law enforcement sources.

A San Francisco Fire Department spokesperson confirmed the news, telling media that paramedics were called to the Fairmont Hotel at 2:52 a.m.

“Our units responded to the scene, conducted an assessment and declared one person dead,” a police spokesman said, adding that the local police department and medical examiner’s office then took over responsibility.

The cause of death is not yet known.

The Daily Mail reported that a fellow guest alerted staff after finding Jones unresponsive in the hallway.

Jones is the second child of Tommy Lee Jones and his second wife, Kimberlia Cloughley. Her brother Austin is 43 years old.

As a child, Jones acted alongside her father in films such as Men in Black II and The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada, and also appeared in the television series One Tree Hill.

When promoting The Three Burials, Tommy Lee Jones said of his daughter: “She’s a good actress, and she’s got a SAG [Screen Actors Guild] card, and speaks impeccable Spanish. As a child, she asked her nurse, Leticia, to speak to her in Spanish.

He also said that as a teenager, she refused the early start required on film sets. “She had to wake up at 5 a.m. on her part,” he told The New Yorker. “One morning, she didn’t want to get out of bed. I said, ‘Honey, this is work.’ But she wouldn’t budge.

“So I fired her. Then, without telling me, the production staff went and woke her up and rushed her to the set just in time.”

The duo has frequently appeared together on red carpets, including in October 2018, when he was a member of the Tokyo Film Festival jury.

Tommy Lee Jones (79 years old) won an Academy Award and a Golden Globe for his role in the movie The Fugitive, and he also participated in films such as JFK, Lincoln, In the Valley of Elah, and No Country for Old Men.
