Liverpool Captain Virgil van Dijk said his team was missing something after Saturday’s match Tie 1-1 Against struggle Burnley At Anfield.
The defending champion, who had tied four consecutive league matches, was subjected to boos from his fans at the end of the match.
Florian Wirtz gave Liverpool the lead in the first half – 10 minutes after Dominik Szoboszlai missed a penalty – but Marcus Edwards scored the equalizer in the second half.
“Frustrated is definitely the word on my mind,” Van Dijk said.
“After 60 minutes, we started to get sloppy and it’s not the first time. We have to address that. It’s been talked about already but we have to address it again it seems.
“We have another 48 hours to evaluate this, us and the crew, we will debrief and then we have to move.
“I would say there is something missing right now and we want to change that.”
This is the first season since 1980-81 that Liverpool have failed to beat any of the promoted teams at Anfield. The team is seven points behind third-placed Aston Villa, which has a match in hand.
“This is the reality and we need support,” Van Dijk added. “I don’t like booing from my fans.”
