💡 Here’s what you’ll learn:
Asked at a news conference on Wednesday about the Epstein files, Attorney General Pam Bondi repeatedly said the Justice Department “will continue to follow the law with the utmost transparency.”
Watch Bondi’s remarks in the video player above.
But Bondi did not say when additional files would be released or whether any documents would be withheld due to a new investigation by the top federal prosecutor in Manhattan.
He watches: What will happen after Congress votes to release the Epstein files?
Bondi recently appointed Manhattan U.S. Attorney Jay Clayton to investigate Epstein’s ties to Trump’s political rivals after a request from the Republican president. This is despite a July memo that said authorities had no evidence “that could base an investigation against unaccused third parties.”
Bondi said the investigation was based on “new information,” but did not go into detail.
FBI adds to most wanted list
There is a $15 million reward for information leading to the arrest of a former Canadian Olympic skier who is wanted for running a multinational drug trafficking network and orchestrating multiple murders related to the drug ring.
The FBI added 43-year-old Ryan Wedge to its 10 Most Wanted list on Thursday, while also announcing a US State Department offer of $15 million.
“Ryan Wedding orchestrated murders against his rivals, against cooperating witnesses, and against anyone who got in his way,” said Akil Davis, assistant director of the FBI’s Los Angeles Field Office.
