In response to a question about what Trump meant by accepting only “unconditional surrender,” White House press secretary Carolyn Leavitt said Friday that this would be achieved when “the president determines that Iran no longer poses a threat to the United States of America” and that the objectives of the mission “have been fully achieved.”

“Then Iran will be in a place of unconditional surrender whether they say so themselves or not. Frankly, they don’t have a lot of people to say that to,” she told reporters outside the White House.

Levitt also said she had nothing to share about the Pentagon’s investigation into whether the US military struck an Iranian girls’ school.
“Again, as I said in the press conference two days ago, I do not have any updates regarding the investigation. I expect these will come from the Pentagon,” she said.
