“We are looking at all possible ways to keep fertilizer costs low as these farmers go into the growing season,” Agriculture Secretary Brock Rollins said Friday.

Speaking to reporters at the White House, Rollins said she had held talks on Capitol Hill to explore additional funding for farmers. “There are no big announcements yet, but they are coming.”
Most farmers have already purchased fertilizer for this year’s planting season, but about 25% have not, Rollins said. A separate aid package from December opened up $12 billion in aid to farmers hurt by rising costs amid a trade war with China.
