A person of interest was taken into custody Sunday after a shooting during final exams at Brown University on Saturday.
Regarding the mass shooting in Sydney, Australia, Trump described it as a terrible “anti-Semitic attack.”
At least 11 people were killed on Sunday in the attack at a Hanukkah celebration on Sydney’s popular Bondi Beach. At least 29 were injured.
Trump said of the Syria incident: “We were attacked in Syria and three great patriots were taken out by bad people. It wasn’t the Syrian government, it was ISIS. The Syrian government fought alongside us.”
The man who carried out an attack in Syria that killed three American citizens had joined Syria’s internal security forces as a security guard for Al Qaeda two months ago and was recently reassigned amid suspicions that he may be affiliated with the Islamic State, a Syrian official told The Associated Press on Sunday.
