US President Donald Trump on Sunday commented on the deadly shooting incidents in Australia, Syria and Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island.

Upon his arrival at the Christmas reception at the White House, Trump praised those killed and wounded in the three attacks.

He initially offered his condolences to the families of the two people killed in the shooting at Brown University, before heading to honor those who died in Australia and Syria.

Trump said, referring to the shooting incident at Brown University: “To the nine injured, a speedy recovery, and to the families of these two individuals who are no longer with us, I offer my sincere greetings and respect.”

A person of interest was taken into custody Sunday after a shooting during final exams at Brown University on Saturday.

Regarding the mass shooting in Sydney, Australia, Trump described it as a terrible “anti-Semitic attack.”

At least 11 people were killed on Sunday in the attack at a Hanukkah celebration on Sydney’s popular Bondi Beach. At least 29 were injured.

Trump said of the Syria incident: “We were attacked in Syria and three great patriots were taken out by bad people. It wasn’t the Syrian government, it was ISIS. The Syrian government fought alongside us.”

The man who carried out an attack in Syria that killed three American citizens had joined Syria’s internal security forces as a security guard for Al Qaeda two months ago and was recently reassigned amid suspicions that he may be affiliated with the Islamic State, a Syrian official told The Associated Press on Sunday.
