WATCH: Trump brags about making CEOs ‘very rich’ at World Economic Forum reception

It has made them richer, President Donald Trump told business officials Wednesday at the World Economic Forum.

The president spoke to an affluent audience at the Davos Economic Forum in Switzerland, where Republicans back home are pressing him to focus on affordability, a major concern for Americans who are under pressure from rising prices ahead of the midterm elections.

“I don’t ask anyone, ‘How are you doing now,'” Trump said of his conversations with businessmen. “It’s like everyone is making a lot of money.”

He added that even his enemies are in good shape.

“There’s two people in the room, I can’t stand them,” Trump said with a laugh. “And they’ve gotten very rich. I can’t do anything about it.”

The CEOs of Visa, Cisco, Salesforce, JPMorgan Chase and Amazon were among the dignitaries gathered at Trump’s reception for global business leaders.
