President Donald Trump said Monday that he brings “a lot of love” back to the White House.

Trump reviewed many of his projects to renovate the White House during a lunch in the Rose Garden courtyard to view his investment accounts bearing his name for children born during his second term.

He pointed to the work being done on the columns at the mansion’s entrance on Pennsylvania Avenue, and said he was removing layers and layers of paint.
Trump also spoke about the ballroom he is building and his decision to replace the grass in the Rose Garden with patio stone.
“We’re bringing a lot of love back to the White House,” he said.
Trump says Cruz is the only SCOTUS appointee who will get 100 votes in the Senate
Trump called Sen. Ted Cruz a “friend of mine” in the Oval Office earlier Monday and said the Texas Republican is the only potential Supreme Court nominee who could win unanimous confirmation for the position from the Senate.
Trump spoke at length about how the two were “great friends” before they competed for the Republican nomination during the 2016 presidential campaign, “but then they were better together than ever.”

Cruz is laying the groundwork for the possibility of him running for president again, outperforming Republican candidates in early voting states, including South Carolina. Cruz, who has been repeatedly put forward by Trump for a position on the Supreme Court, said he would decline it, preferring to remain in politics.
Rapper Nicki Minaj returns to the White House to launch Trump accounts
Minaj received a shout-out from Trump while speaking at a luncheon in the Rose Garden after an earlier event to highlight the accounts.
The musical artist joined Trump last January for a previous announcement about “Trump Accounts” for children born during his second term.

Trump said on Monday that Minaj is “great” and “highly respected.”
Minaj has described herself as Trump’s “number one fan.”
Trump tells lunch guests they won’t have to talk to each other while the music plays
Trump introduced his setlist as he wrapped up more than 40 minutes of remarks in Washington, D.C., held shortly after an earlier lengthy press event in the Oval Office.
“Should we put on a little music, yeah?” he asked. “This way you don’t have to talk to each other. You just listen to the music.”

“So, we’re going to play a little bit of music, a Trump playlist, okay, and we’re going to have a little fun,” Trump said.
