House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries wants information about the Trump administration’s layoffs and FAA changes that were underway even before the shutdown.

“We need a full and complete briefing so we can understand from the administration what the current situation is, what the impact of the layoffs is in the administration, before the Republican Trump shuts down,” Jeffries said from New York during a news conference at the Capitol.

He said the administration “has been pursuing the FAA since the beginning of its time in office, since January 20, and we need to understand how we got to this moment, separate and apart from the Trump Republican shutdown.”
