“I think what Senator Mark Kelly was really trying to do was intimidate the 1.3 million active-duty members who serve in our armed forces of the United States with this video that he and his fellow Democrats released,” White House press secretary Carolyn Leavitt told reporters.

She added: “You cannot have an effective army if there is disorder and chaos within its ranks, and that is what these Democratic members were encouraging.”
The Pentagon announced earlier Monday that it was investigating the Democratic senator from Arizona over possible violations of military law after the former Navy aviator joined a handful of other lawmakers in a video calling on troops to defy “unlawful orders.”
