The West Coast rapper has sold more than 30 million albums worldwide but has yet to attend the Swansea game, despite his son Cordell Broadus being on the board during the Welsh team’s draw with Watford last August.
American billionaire businesswoman Martha Stewart, who joined Snoop Dogg and Real Madrid legend Luka Modric as co-owner of Swansea in December, was in Wales for the match against Wrexham just before Christmas.
Swansea have said Snoop Dogg is likely to attend a match at some point this season, although there is still no confirmation on when he might appear at the stadium Swansea.com.
“I really want to meet the fans,” Snoop Dogg said.
“These fans are passionate, they are genuine, and I want to hear what they have to say when I am at Swansea.
“I knew I always wanted to invest in a football team – this has been a dream of mine for years and it was all about waiting for the right opportunity.”
Modric was the first big name to be involved at Swansea, with the former Ballon d’Or winner named as co-owner last April.
Swansea’s American owners, led by Brett Cravat and Jason Cohen, believe that bringing in high-profile names at board level will help increase the club’s profile which in turn will lead to increased income.
