Veteran Philadelphia Phillies All-Star Bryce Harper turned heads with his new look this offseason. The two-time MVP, known for his long hair and full beard, has shaved his beard.

Harper joined fellow MLB players Vinny Pasquantino and Brent Rucker at The Lucky Classic charity event in Nashville over the weekend. Harper rocked his beardless look with a beard and mustache.

“That’s not Bryce Harper. I saw that guy smoking a Marlboro golf outside of Chick’s and Pete’s on Broad Street this morning.”

“Harper seems to have been playing in the major leagues since the 1990s.”

“His brothers became addicted to cigarettes and whiskey after they were eliminated from the playoffs.”

“So Bryce is the reason my dealer doesn’t have Pierce anymore 🤔 Dang.”

A Phillies player has been in the news after he was reportedly threatened by an MLB executive following an altercation with MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred earlier this year.

The Phillies have achieved coaching satisfaction with Bryce Harper despite a lackluster season

Bryce Harper was also the subject of trade rumors after the All-Star outfielder’s disappointing season with the Phillies. Despite his poor year, Phillies hitting coach Kevin Long is satisfied with the star player.

“I was pleased with the year Bryce had, what he did, how he performed,” Long said. “If you look at everyone’s numbers and what they did, Bryce was a big part of our offense, which was top-five, played very well during the season, and actually did a stand-up job in the playoffs as well.”

“He saw the least amount of hits in baseball,” Long added. “And he probably ended up swinging too much and maybe needed to control the strike zone a little bit better than he had.”

Harper’s performance was also affected by a wrist injury that caused him to miss about a month for the Phillies. His bat also remained quiet during the postseason as the Los Angeles Dodgers eliminated the Phillies in the division series.
