What does this weekend’s drama tell us about the Premier League title race?

David is a Celtic fan: “Great, this result shows that Celtic have not given up on winning the title this season. Let’s hope the players respond for the rest of the season. There are big games to come.”

Supporter of hearts Mike: “Unfortunately, our three leading players, Aggio, Chesnokov and Kapoor, were all left off in the 45 minutes each played. We really miss Cammy and Shanks. Rangers is a different team to the one we have beaten twice already this season. We are playing with confidence and are probably favorites to win the title. However, we are still top and need to win our next matches before we split.”

Motherwell fan Derek: “I’m calling on all Motherwell fans to pinch themselves. This is surely the best time since the Ancell Babes. In folklore, we’ve passed down the exploits of this team through the generations. Even the Willie Pettigrew years can’t beat this. The trophy will be the icing on the cake. Take a bow, Jens Berthel Askew.”

Rangers supporter Chris: “We played two of the best teams this week and finished closer to the top of the table than we started. The second half performance against Hearts was as good as we’ve played this season. But I think the season will probably come to an end. They’re all big games now.”

FRANK FAN HEARTS: “To maintain our challenge, we need to dispatch Falkirk and Aberdeen next – two of the few clubs to have beaten us this season. Realistically, we are punching above our weight and need the old company to lose their nerve, but under their new coaches, I don’t think that is likely.

“I’ve enjoyed the journey so far but I’ve never walked away from it. If you had told me at the start of the season that we would be disappointed with third place I would have laughed out loud.”

Rangers fan Elaine: “Finally! A team with some fight around them. Great to see the great Youssef El Chermiti score a hat-trick. Now we can believe we’re in the title race. If we don’t give Hearts two goals, they’ll never seem to score a goal. Now we’re in the hunt!”

Henry is a Celtic fan: “A great result in a tough stadium, we have a game in hand and are only three points behind the league leaders. Celtic can still win this league. All fans need to get behind the team and stop all the ‘sack the board’ nonsense.”

Motherwell Stuart fan: It wasn’t the best performance ever, but maybe it’s more satisfying when we win when we’re not playing as well as we did in recent games. We were a bit sloppy with possession and gave Aberdeen chances, but we created some great chances for ourselves. We still need to be more serious, but I’m living the dream as a Motherwell fan this year – where could we end up?
