Who pays for Trump’s $300 million auditorium?

Private donors to President Donald Trump’s planned White House ballroom include tech giants like Amazon, Meta and Apple, as well as the family of Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick and the founders of cryptocurrency exchange Gemini, according to a list provided to PBS News.

The president emphasized that the multi-million-dollar project would be funded by private donations — not taxpayers. Trump said on Wednesday that the total cost of building the hall had risen to $300 million, $100 more than originally announced.

A White House official on Thursday provided a list of companies and individuals who will contribute to the hall.

The list does not specify the exact amounts each donor has pledged or paid, nor has the White House said how much Trump – who has said he will also use his own money – plans to contribute.
