A review will also be allowed at the end of a point if a player feels their opponent may be guilty of obstruction.
Daniil Medvedev used the review system against Jack Draper in Indian Wells last week, after the Briton briefly extended his arms wide during a rally to indicate he thought Medvedev’s forehand was long.
Referee Aurelie Torti watched the replay on her tablet and ruled that Draper was guilty of obstruction – either making an action or making noise to disturb an opponent – and awarded the Russian the point.
Draper admitted the situation was difficult for the referee, but he thought Medvedev “followed the rules well” and did not think his gesture was enough to distract him.

This is becoming more common on the women’s ATP Tour, and by next season, the men’s ATP Tour will have video reviews at all of its events.
Another change at Wimbledon this year will be the addition of visual indicators on the scoreboards to complement the audio calls produced by the ELC.
Spectators were sometimes unsure whether the ball was in or out – and at this year’s Australian Open, the net posts flashed red to give the crowd a visual cue whenever the ball went out.
With exactly 100 days to go until the start of the tournament, the AELTC also announced that capacity at the qualifying competition in Roehampton will increase from 3,500 to 4,000 per day.
