UK Sport said the medal range of four to eight reflects that Team GB athletes are “more able to compete in more sports at the Winter Games than ever before”.
Olympic medal hopes include two-time world frame champion Matt Weston, who has won five of six World Cup races this season.
World champion Zoe Atkin has finished on the podium at every World Cup halfpipe this season, including a win at Copper Mountain.
Kirsty Muir, who has returned from knee and shoulder surgery, has claimed gold medals at this season’s World Cup in downhill and big air skiing.
Snowboarder Mia Brooks, the youngest world champion at just 16, will be hoping for success after winning gold at the Big Air World Cup in China in December.
Great Britain’s footballers are also full of hope – the men are world champions and the women have won silver at the European Championships.
Meanwhile, the men’s bobsleigh team won the overall bronze medal at the World Cup last season and made the podium this season.
Head of mission Eve Muirhead, who won curling gold in 2022, said preparations had been “meticulous” with a “focus on creating conditions that allow athletes to perform when it matters most.”
“The potential within this team is exceptionally high, and while we don’t always benefit from the same ease of access to snow and ice as some of our competitors, when I look at the Class of 2026, I see a real opportunity to challenge the status quo,” she added.
