📌 **What You’ll Learn**:

A woman accused of stalking former Fleetwood Mac guitarist Lindsey Buckingham has been arrested in Indiana, according to local police.

Authorities in Fort Wayne, Indiana, said in a statement over the weekend that they took 55-year-old Michelle Dick into custody on Saturday because she was wanted on an arrest warrant out of California for “stalking” Buckingham.

Dick was accused of dousing Buckingham, 76, with an unknown substance in March as he entered a building in Santa Monica for an appointment. Police said they also destroyed his car during the incident before fleeing the scene.

Buckingham was not physically injured.

In a statement issued by the Fort Wayne Police Department on Saturday, they said, “Michelle has been reported to have been stalking Buckingham and his family for several years.

“In 2024, Mr. Buckingham obtained a restraining order against Michelle after years of harassment,” the police statement said.

After the alleged encounter in March, authorities believe Dick fled California and traveled more than 2,000 miles (3,500 kilometers) to Fort Wayne, where she was arrested without incident.

Police said she was being held there until Monday awaiting extradition to California. Court records show she faces multiple charges, including stalking, vandalism, battery and criminal threats.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Dick was known to Buckingham and his family from previous encounters. The restraining order, issued in December 2024, requires her to stay at least 100 yards away from Buckingham, his wife and son — and prohibits her from contacting them, the newspaper reported.

Rolling Stone reported that Buckingham claimed the stalking began in late 2021 with dozens of phone calls and “long, drawn-out messages” in which Dick claimed “she was my baby” and allegedly made “threats to kill me and my family.”

Buckingham also claimed that Dick was responsible for “beating up” — or calling emergency workers to get a heavily armed response — at his home, which Rolling Stone reported resulted in him being briefly detained while officers searched his home.

In his petition for a restraining order, Buckingham reportedly said he was “afraid” that Dick’s “behavior may escalate into something physically dangerous to me and my family.”

NBC Los Angeles reported that Dick is expected to appear in court sometime in the coming days for extradition proceedings. She is being held in the Allen County Jail at the moment.

Buckingham joined Fleetwood Mac in 1975 and played with the band until 1987, winning two Grammy Awards – including Album of the Year – with the group for 1978’s Rumors. He later joined Fleetwood Mac from 1997 to 2018 and was part of the group for its 1998 induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
