Scotland and Ireland will face hosts England in the Women’s T20 World Cup after the draw for this summer’s tournament is completed.

Scotland and Ireland booked their places in the World Cup finals in the qualifiers held in Nepal earlier this month.

They join England in Group B, along with the West Indies, New Zealand and Sri Lanka.

The match between England and Scotland at Headingley on June 20 will be the first time the two countries have met in any type of Cricket World Cup match, for men or women, in the UK.

Ireland will meet England in Southampton on June 16, while Ireland and Scotland begin their campaign against each other at Old Trafford on June 13.

The tournament begins the day before when England take on Sri Lanka in Edgbaston.

Bangladesh and Netherlands were the other two teams to qualify through the qualifiers and joined Australia, South Africa, India and Pakistan in Group A.

With the 12-team lineup confirmed – the largest in the 17-year history of the Women’s T20 World Cup – the full squads and fixtures have been published for the first time.

New Zealand will defend the title they won in the United Arab Emirates two years ago in the first Women’s T20 World Cup to be held in England since the inaugural tournament in 2009.

In addition to the Old Trafford, Headingley and Southampton matches, group stage matches will be held in Bristol. The semi-finals will be played at The Oval on 30 June and 2 July, while the final will be played at Lord’s on Sunday 5 July.
