Former world champions Lee Wood and Josh Warrington will meet in a highly anticipated rematch on February 21 at the Nottingham Arena.
Wood recorded a stunning knockout victory over his British featherweight rival in the first Classic contest of 2023 which was mired in controversy.
Having dominated the WBA title fight until the seventh round, Warrington was floored by a combination of right and left from Wood and beat the count before referee Michael Alexander deemed the Leeds fighter could not continue.
Wood, 37, from Nottingham, was suspended by Anthony Casassi in his last match in May.
Meanwhile, Warrington, 34, bounced back from defeat to the Northern Irishman with a routine win over Asad Asif Khan in April after backing down on his plans to retire from the sport.
Also announced by Matchroom Promotions is Josh Kelly’s world title fight against IBF light middleweight champion Bakhram Murtazaliev in Newcastle on January 31.
Kelly (31 years old) is fighting in his first match for the world title and gained the advantage of playing on his home turf against the undefeated Russian player.
