Phil Parkinson insists Wrexham have faith they can remain in the Championship play-off places after breaking into the top six for the first time this season.
But the man who has guided the Hollywood-owned club to three consecutive promotions has warned there will be no loss of focus after a huge jump up the table.
Goals from Josh Windass and Oli Rathbone completed a 3-2 win over Queens Park Rangers in stoppage time at Loftus Road.
It is not only the highest level Wrexham have reached since moving up to the Championship last summer, but it is the highest they have reached at this stage of the season in the club’s history.
Given the dramatic nature of the win, Parkinson said it would be wrong for the players and fans not to enjoy the moment.
But he said: “It’s where you are at the end of the season that matters.
“Everyone can see that it’s very tight and that’s why you can’t go too low or go too high.
“I know it’s an old saying, but the minute you look at the ball in this division, you can find yourself going back down the league.
“There are a lot of teams dreaming about their chances of reaching the top six. Of course we have faith in our ability to do it, but it is important that we stay focused – which we will do.”
