Josh Windass assisted each of Moore’s three goals against Coventry as Wrexham recorded back-to-back home league wins for the first time this season.
And Windass, who previously played with Moore at Wigan Athletic, feels Wrexham have reaped the rewards of being more assertive against Frank Lampard’s table toppers.
The 31-year-old said, “In the last few (matches), I think we showed a lot of respect for the teams, and we backed off a little bit. We pressed more tonight and were more aggressive. I think we controlled from start to finish.”
“We have some of the best players at their positions in the division in my opinion.
“We have to show it. Instead of letting teams control us, we can be more assertive. We didn’t let Coventry breathe even for a moment.”
Windass’ hat-trick of assists means he now has seven goals in 10 Championship games this season.
Having seen Wrexham rise to the top half of the table, Windass has confirmed that he and the club’s other summer signings have moved to Stoke Cay Ras to compete with the best in the Championship.
“We want to achieve success in this department,” he added.
“That’s what I assume all players sign here to do, to be at the top of this league.”
