WWE is making a strange change for Royce Keys on Netflix

Royce Keys made his WWE debut at Royal Rumble 2026. After putting on a good performance, the former AEW star was eliminated by Bronson Reed.

During his previous work with Tony Khan’s company, Keyes was known as Powerhouse Hobbs. When he debuted at the Royal Rumble, the Stamford-based promotion dropped some references to All Elite Wrestling in commentary and in its entry graphics, which also showed his old name. Interestingly enough, Michael Cole mentioned his name in AEW. Moreover, Wade Barrett called him “Monstar.”

However, fans noticed that in Netflix’s remake of Royal Rumble 2026, the company removed all references to All Elite Wrestling. The creative team led by Triple H also edited his entrance graphics and the words “Powerhouse Hobbs” and “Monstar” were muted.

Netflix even removed the line saying “Royce is a powerhouse.” So, it seems that the sports entertainment giant has no intention of mentioning its competitors. It looks like they are building their new star from scratch. It will be interesting to see what the future holds for Royce Keys, especially with WWE WrestleMania 42 looming on the horizon.

Disappointing news regarding Royce Keys’ future in WWE

There is a possibility that World Wrestling Entertainment could integrate the 41-year-old star into SmackDown’s mid-card division. A US Championship feud could also be a good direction for him at this point.
