You and December launch the Hangout Podcast | Ant and Dec

Ant and Dec have announced they will be presenting their first podcast series together from next week.

The series, titled Hanging Out With Ant and Dec, will feature the old friends as they reconnect and reminisce, and listeners will get the chance to ask the pair for advice, relive TV moments and share anecdotes.

Episodes will be released every two weeks starting January 22, with an additional episode every Monday.

The hosts of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway also announced the launch of a digital channel, Belta Box, which will contain new entertainment and curated clips, including some of the best clips from shows such as Newcastle-based children’s drama Byker Grove, which helped launch their careers.

Speaking about the podcast, December, 50, said: “We asked our fans if we did a podcast about what they’d like it to be, and they said we just want you guys to hang out. So that’s what we’re doing. You and I can’t hang out as much anymore as we used to, so it’s perfect for us.”

The duo, whose full name is Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, are also known for hosting Britain’s Got Talent and game show Ant and Dec’s Limitless Win.

Ant, 50, said: “We’ve spent our entire career celebrating great entertainment, so launching Belta Box feels like the natural next step. Along with our new podcast, we’re excited to create a space full of fun and quality content that brings people together – no matter where they watch or listen.”

The duo played PJ and Duncan in the CBBC series Byker Grove and together they performed a pop duet under their characters’ names. They reached number one in the UK Singles Chart in 2013 with “Let’s Get Ready to Rumble”, 19 years after its original release in 1994.
