“Your time is now” – John Cena sends a heartfelt message to the WWE star

John Cena’s historic WWE career is about to end with only two dates remaining on his retirement tour schedule: Survivor Series: WarGames 2025 and Saturday Night’s Main Event XLII.

Tonight on the final episode of NXT, the Sentinel Leader selected the competitors for the men’s and women’s Iron Survivor Challenge. Interestingly, John Cena also chose in his selections the rising star who has attracted a lot of attention, and critics and experts believe she is the next big star.

“A person who always believes in her abilities. Every time we talk to each other in person, she has one question. When can I get my chance? If it’s not for Weiss, your time is now,” he said.

Cena is preparing for a big match in WWE

Aside from announcing the Iron Survivor Challenge participants, the 17-time champion himself is preparing to defend his newly won Intercontinental Title at Survivor Series: WarGames 2025 against the man who won the belt on RAW in Boston, Dominik Mysterio.

The King of Luchadors demanded an immediate rematch on RAW at historic Madison Square Garden, which was also marked as John’s final appearance on the Red Brand as an active star.

The Censation leader accepted the challenge and was prepared to defend that same night, but “Dirty” Dom said he wanted a rematch on his terms and wanted to clash with the 17-time champion at Survivor Series 2025 instead.

However, with all the potential, it will be interesting to see what plans the Triple H-led WWE creative team has in store for an Intercontinental Championship match between Cena and the Judgment Day member, and whether the Ruthless Agression legend carries the title to his final showdown at Saturday Night’s Main Event XLII and only drops it after competing in the final match.
