YouTuber Look Mum No Computer has been selected as the UK’s entry for Eurovision 2026 | Eurovision

YouTuber and experimental singer-songwriter Look Mum No Computer will represent the UK at the Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna in May, the BBC has announced.

The performer and Eurovision fan, whose real name is Sam Battle, launched his YouTube channel in 2016. He has amassed more than 85 million views and 1.4 million subscribers and followers across his various social accounts.

He said: “I find it absolutely crazy to be jumping on this wonderful, wild ride. I’ve always been a huge fan of Eurovision, and love the magical joy it brings to millions of people every year, so to join that legacy and fly the flag for the United Kingdom is an absolute honor and one I take very seriously.”

“I’ve been working for a long time creating, writing and producing my own vision from scratch, and documenting my work. I will bring every ounce of my creativity to my shows and I can’t wait for everyone to hear and see what we’ve created. I hope it’s Eurovision ready for the mix.”

The song he will perform in the competition in Austria has not yet been announced.

Patel, who is based in Kent, began his music career in 2014 as the frontman of indie rock band Zebra, who performed at Glastonbury in 2015 for the BBC programme.

He has built an online fanbase for building and playing unusual electronic instruments, particularly organs made from toys like Furbies and Game Boys, mounted bikes, flame-throwing keyboards, and a Star Wars droid orchestra.
